What’s precious to you

forblogpicHere at, PGA Center for Advanced Dentistry know that you choose to place a high value on says quite a bit about you.  For example, if you treasure your health and well-being and that of your family, that tells the world that quality of life really matters to you.  An improved quality of life brings each of us a greater sense of self-confidence and mastery of our environment.  And nothing says self-confidence and mastery like a healthy and beautiful smile.

Here are some flaws we’re often asked about.   Many of the popular solutions we’ve suggested take only one or two visits without surgery

  • Chipped or cracked teeth? Tooth-like materials can be bonded to your enamel so no one will ever notice.
  • Discolored teeth? Supervised professional whitening can brighten your teeth.  Versatile bonding and veneers can camouflage and whiten.
  • Gaps in your teeth? Bonding or porcelain veneers can reduce unwanted spaces without braces.
  • Crooked, crowded, or protruding teeth? Teeth with very wide gaps? Orthodontics can bring them back in line – in no time.
  • Worn-down teeth and ageing restorations? Beautiful natural-looking inlays and onlays, crowns, bonding, and veneers can whiten, re-contour, strengthen, and restore symmetry to your smiling face!

Some things are too precious not to value.  Your beautiful smile is proof that you have chosen to become the best that you can be!

Preventing Prediabetes

9152676-mature-couple-smiling-and-embracingOne of North America’s largest health epidemics, prediabetes, is the gray area between higher than normal blood sugar and diabetic levels.  People in this range are at risk of not only developing type 2 diabetes, but heart disease, stroke and gum disease.

Gum disease is often called the sixth complication of diabetes. It may not cause diabetes, but gum disease can affect its severity.

Prevent gum disease by:

  • Brushing after meals
  • Flossing daily
  • Visiting us for regular cleanings

Reduce your risk of prediabetes by:

  • Controlling your weight
  • Exercising regularly
  • Getting at least 6 hours of sleep at night

The important thing to remember is that prediabetes may not have to lead to type 2 diabetes.  Making healthy changes to diet and lifestyle today can help you to alter your future for the better.

  • Unsightly chips or cracks that catch on dental floss and attract stains like magnets.

Reproportioning

PGA Center for Advanced Dentistry wants you to put on a new smile

You may have heard about some of the many recent advances in cosmetic dentistry and how new smiles can literally be created. What you might not be aware of is how simply and effectively Dr. Jay Ajmo at PGA Center for Advanced Dentistry can correct some problems.  Front teeth that are discolored, chipped or have gaps between them can look as good or better than new, using porcelain veneers.

These ultra thin shells of ceramic material are bonded firmly to the front of your teeth and can be used to imporve the color, shape and aligment.  they are natural looking and are highly resistant to permanent discoloration from drinking coffee or tea, red wine or from tobacco smoking.

The best part is that the entire veneering procedure usually takes just two appointments in our Palm Beach Gardens office.  In most cases, the procedure is virtually painless with no shots or removal of tooth structure.

Veneers can simply and effectively restore the health and beauty of your teeth and give you that self confident smile you’ve always wanted!
